Knowing the courage and strength it takes it takes to change, I have the deepest respect for all my clients. Drawing on a variety of life experiences and careers leading up to my present one as a social worker in private practice and motivational speaker/lecturer, I bring to my work a broad world view. I am primarily an object relations/attachment therapist who believes that most people come to therapy because they are dissatisfied with present relationships and are experiencing symptoms of anxiety and/or depression. Which is what has led me onto the AEDP journey. I am an EMDRIA certified EMDR therapist and an SE (somatic experiencing) Practitioner. Using a wide array of theoretical orientations and an eclectic arsenal of interventions (including IFS and Sensorimotor), I help my clients overcome trauma, fears, phobias, and anxieties to improve and change their interpersonal lives and relationships; and achieve their goals. I work with adolescents and adults, in individual, couple, and family work; struggling with "big T and little t" trauma(s), parenting issues, problems in sexual intimacy and/or identity, anxiety disorders/phobias, and grief and bereavement. I welcome any questions you may have so that you can feel comfortable committing to your brave endeavor of the therapeutic journey.
