Ruth Unaegbu is the founder of Ruth Unaegbu Counselling & Coaching and REST Counselling Group. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #12132) & an Approved Clinical Supervisor, she has provided private therapy and supervision services in British Columbia, Canada, and coaching services worldwide for over 12 years. Ruth created her practices with the aim of supporting people by undoing aloneness and creating a safe space for them to heal and transform. Her goal is to support individuals as they enhance and expand into the lives they were meant to live.
Ruth works with a variety of individuals and provides culturally affirming counselling to People of the Global Majority, with a particular focus on Black women, first-generation, and immigrant Canadians. She also specializes in working with creative professionals (actors/actresses, musicians, artists, etc.) and high-performing athletes, focusing on performance blocks, focal dystonia, and expansion. Additionally, Ruth works with parents/caregivers and those part of the adoption triad, specifically transracial adoption.
