TESTIMONIALS for LIVE ONLINE COURSES

I just want to say to anyone who is hesitating to take an AEDP online course or workshop, go for it!! When the course was switched from in-person to live online, I at first declined to attend. I didn’t think the experience would be worth it. WRONG! Very wrong. Just saying. I think part of what makes up for the lack of in-person contact is that, on screen, others’ faces are so up close and personal. Having SueAnne’s face lifesize and one foot from me every day was an amazing experience. I miss her today…

“I am grateful for having the opportunity to be part to AEDP growing community. I also believe the online experience so equally captures and maintains the spirit of AEDP community ethos.”

“I wanted to add my voice and to thank the incredible team of people who put all this together, and all those who attended and made it so special. I didn’t know what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised to find a ’new’ kind of intimacy in this format. I am hoping the Institute may consider putting on online training in the future, for those of us who may not be able to travel as often as we’d like. Nothing replaces ‘in person’, but, this was absolutely wonderfully done and the value of it is tremendous.”

“It was extraordinarily potent. Whilst I missed being in New York and the physical presence. I didn’t miss the loneliness of being alone across the Atlantic from my home – and it also saved me £1,000 in travel costs!

I am finding it hard to find the words to express my gratitude towards AEDP Faculty and the totally AMAZING AWESOME admin team who facilitated week 2 of our ES1 to move from New York to online. 5 days of 8 hours on Zoom initially projected to be daunting and exhausting with a little doubting voice that it wouldn’t be as good …. but the reality is the experience was warm, enlivening, enlightening, loving, connected, educational and so many more words that I don’t have the “finger energy” to type.

The experiential exercises, such an invaluable part of this learning process were deep, moving and full of growth edges and just WOW! So encouraging to feel the power of online therapy.
I fully believe that this crisis is helping us to live in our best selves and clearly this emanated throughout the last 5 days.”

“Excellent. Monica and Luis [members of AEDP admin team] have it down. I felt helped and supported and appreciated.

I would still recommend in-person to online, BUT I found the online experience to be fantastic. You did it!! I have already told one friend that doing it online is worth it if that is all that is available for the upcoming months. What I liked most – seeing everyone’s faces all the time instead of the backs of heads.”

“I love to stay home, no commute. It’s so convenient and comfortable! I also love to see everyone close by pinning the video. I would recommend the online version!”

“This was the first ES online training, so although we experienced some technical difficulties, I’m proud of all admins, lead assistants, assistants, participants, teachers, and the helm that we collaboratively created this training. While experiencing this global pandemic, we could successfully have this training together. The contribution of the technical assistants, admins, and lead assistants are tremendous. I felt the strong reconnection to my own authentic feelings and compassion toward myself as well as others throughout the training.”

“I would recommend it! I most liked having the opportunity to be so up close to people. And to see everyone, and their names, in the Gallery View [on Zoom]. Of course I missed the energetic experience of people especially in the experiential [exercises]. But I preferred the online version for the didactics and video presentations, actually!”

“I felt like Jenn and Karen were speaking directly to me. I loved seeing their faces close up. I raised my hand more because I was less aware of how many people were in the room! I also enjoyed being comfortable in my home.”

“I would still prefer live, but I liked the online format more than I thought I would and felt very connected. I still learned as much as I would have live.”

“No travel, no germs and as an introvert I appreciated not having to pair myself up with someone – just whisked into [the breakout room on Zoom] and someone was chosen for me.”
