Judy Silvan, LICSW, LCSW

I’m Judy Silvan (LICSW, LCSW, she/her), an early enthusiast of AEDP and a licensed psychotherapist practicing in Massachusetts and California. I’m certified as both an AEDP Therapist and Supervisor, and I also hold certifications in Bioenergetic Analysis and Mindfulness in Psychotherapy.

I’ve been an Experiential Assistant in AEDP courses since 2010 and have had the privilege of working with over ten patients as part of the AEDP Research Project. Much of my clinical work has been with individuals navigating complex histories, including sexual trauma, and I bring that depth of experience into both my therapy and supervision.

Teaching and supervising are truly at the heart of my work. I’ve led seminars for psychiatry interns at Harvard Medical School and offered workshops for the AEDP Africa Regional Community in South Africa. I’ve also presented on AEDP and the treatment of sexual trauma in complex PTSD in Diana Fosha’s Immersion courses and seminars.

In supervision, I aim to create a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented space where you can deepen your skills, build confidence, and feel genuinely accompanied in your learning. Whether you’re early in your AEDP journey or working toward certification, I tailor supervision to meet you where you are.

I continue to expand my own learning through training in psychedelic-assisted approaches to emotional healing and a certification program in executive coaching.

My work is grounded in a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, including ongoing exploration of how oppression related to race, gender, family structure, neurodiversity, and other human differences impacts our clients—and ourselves as clinicians.

I’d love to connect with you. You can learn more or reach out through my website: judysilvanpsychotherapy.com
