Level 3 Therapists Pursuing Certification
Therapists pursuing AEDP Certification engage in a thoughtfully structured review process designed to support both professional growth and clinical excellence. The certification submission includes two clinical video recordings with transcripts, accompanying microanalyses, client descriptions, and a self-reflection essay. Clinical work should demonstrate competency across all four AEDP transformational states.
Throughout the preparation process, candidates work closely with a Certification Supervisor who provides guidance, support, and feedback to help ensure clarity, completeness, and alignment with AEDP standards. Once submitted, certification materials are carefully reviewed by a panel of trained evaluators.

Certification Supervisors Supporting Therapist Certification
As a Certification Supervisor, you play an essential role in guiding therapist candidates through the AEDP certification process. Your support helps candidates develop, refine, and present clinical work that reflects AEDP’s standards for transformational practice and clinical excellence.
This role includes assisting candidates in selecting appropriate clinical video recordings, reviewing the completeness and quality of their certification materials, and offering thoughtful feedback throughout the preparation process. Certification Supervisors are asked to provide a recommendation only when a candidate is fully prepared for final review.
