AEDP® Supervisor Review Board
The AEDP® Institute is pleased to introduce a refined certification review process, led by our Supervisor Review Board. This initiative is designed to strengthen and support the certification journey while reflecting AEDP’s core values of rigor, transparency, and relational care.
The Supervisor Review Board plays an integral role in overseeing certification reviews, bringing greater consistency and thoughtfulness to the process.
What this means for candidates and the community
Clearer structure and timelines
Submission deadlines and decision dates are clearly outlined, allowing candidates to plan their application process with greater ease and confidence.
Collaborative review process
Reviewers work together rather than in isolation, consulting with one another and making decisions as a group. This fosters thoughtful dialogue and shared responsibility in the evaluation process.
Individualized, development-focused feedback
Each candidate is discussed with care and attention to their professional growth. Feedback is provided privately to candidates and their supervisors, offering guidance for continued development.
Consistency and transparency
The standardized format ensures a more unified review process while creating space for professional discussion and reflection among reviewers.
Communication of decisions
Certification outcomes (“pass” or “resubmit”) are shared privately with candidates and their supervisors, along with detailed feedback to support ongoing growth. Confirmed certifications are announced to the community, allowing members to celebrate and connect.
The board meets quarterly to review applications and confirm newly Certified Supervisors based on their demonstrated expertise.

Natasha Prenn, LCSW, senior faculty member. Natasha has dedicated her career to translating AEDP® theory into clear, actionable steps and refining the language used in interventions. With a deep commitment to making AEDP® training accessible and practical, Natasha pioneered both the AEDP® Essential and Advanced Skills Courses.
Natasha’s dedication to training therapists led to her co-authoring Supervision Essentials for Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy with Diana Fosha. Her latest book, Deliberate Practice in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, co-authored with Hanna Levenson (APA June 2025), focuses on the systematic practice of AEDP skills and interventions.
Natasha offers coaching and psychotherapy to individuals and couples and AEDP® supervision for therapists. She is a founding editor, alongside Kari Gleiser, of Transformance: The AEDP Journal. Some of her articles and book chapters are available on the AEDP® website.
Jeanne is a certified AEDP Therapist, Supervisor and a Senior Faculty member of the AEDP Institute. Jeanne has been a part of the Essential Skills courses in NYC since their inception in 2010, first as an assistant and then as a teacher. Jeanne has helmed Essential Skills courses in North Carolina, New York City and on-line, and has guest-taught in many different trainings.
Jeanne’s initial training as a psychoanalyst was quite a contrast to her first love and work — theatre and dance, both of which embody the unbridled expression of human emotion. The work of psychoanalytic psychotherapy though deeply satisfying felt constraining. Jeanne was introduced to the work of Diana Fosha in 2005 and she never looked back having found a proper clinical home, no longer constrained. Jeanne has always been a wordsmith and a lover of metaphor. There are many Jeanne-isms that her clients and supervisees know well and she encourages people to use them liberally. “We learn to listen with our eyes and look with our ears!” being one of them.
