I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) mental health counselor, and I work with adolescents and adults who may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or pulled in different directions in their lives — whether that’s within family relationships, cultural expectations, or major life changes.
You might be carrying a lot of pressure — from family, school, relationships, or your own expectations — and finding that it’s becoming harder to manage stress, self-doubt, or difficult emotions. You may feel caught between different parts of your identity or unsure how to move forward in a way that feels true to you. For some, this shows up in family conflict, shifting relationships, or the challenges of parenting or growing into a new stage of life.
My approach is grounded in emotion-focused and relational therapy. In our work together, we pay close attention to your emotional patterns and the experiences that have shaped how you respond to stress and relationships. Therapy becomes a space to slow things down, make sense of what you’re feeling, and begin to respond to yourself and others with more clarity, steadiness, and confidence.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade working in the New York City public school system supporting children, adolescents, and families through academic stress, behavioral challenges, and family conflict. That experience continues to shape how I work — with patience, practicality, and an understanding of how real-life pressures impact emotional well-being.
As a Dominican immigrant and a mother, I understand how culture, identity, immigration experiences, and family expectations can shape how you see yourself and move through the world. You don’t have to explain everything from the beginning — I aim to meet you with understanding while also helping you make sense of your experiences in a deeper way. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults.
