Recent developments in affective neuroscience, attachment research, and trauma studies describe the ways in which early physical and psychological traumas impact a person’s biology and psychology, carving their way deeply into both body and brain.
Dr. SueAnne Piliero will demonstrate how Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), developed by Diana Fosha, PhD, applies these findings to efficient and effective clinical practice in ways that move well beyond symptom management and promote a deep transformational process.
This day-long program will focus on both theory and technique, making extensive use of videotaped material to illustrate affective phenomena, therapeutic affective engagement, and clinical techniques for facilitating and working with experiences of emotion and relatedness.
