AEDP Institute Policies: Cancellations, Refunds, Make-ups, Grievances, Online Privacy

Refunds and Cancellations

Effective February 3, 2023

Program Cancellation/Changes

The AEDP Institute reserves the right to cancel a training/ program prior to its start, in which case full refunds will be issued to participants for any tuition fees paid for the program. The AEDP Institute is not responsible for participant expenses including travel, childcare, missed practice sessions, etc.

In the rare situation that the AEDP Institute makes changes to advertised presenter(s), tuition fees will not be refunded.

1) Cancellations

For registrants canceling 16+ days before a course or seminar begins

  •  Those who have paid their full course fee will be refunded 85% of their payment.
  •  Those on payment plans who have paid more than 15% of their full course fee will be refunded whatever they have paid to date above that 15%.

For registrants canceling 1-15 days before a course / seminar begins, There are no refunds; the Institute will, however, provide these registrants with a partial credit – as described below – that may be applied to Institute- sponsored events that begin at least 4 months after the registrant’s cancellation date.

  • Registrants who paid their full course fee prior to canceling will be given an Institute credit for a value of 85% of their payment.
  • Registrants on payment plans who have paid more than 15% of their full course fee will be given an Institute credit for a value of whatever they have paid to date above that 15%.

For Registrants canceling the day of the course or during the course, There are no refunds/ no credits.

2) Withdrawals and no shows

For registrants choosing to withdraw from a course after it begins, there will be no refunds and no credits

No shows: If a participant does not attend or otherwise participate in a part of a course for any reason there will be no refunds and / no credits.

3) Transfers

Participants wanting to transfer from a course to a comparable course:

  • Transfer requests made 45+ days before a course start: will be accommodated wherever possible without financial penalty
  • Transfer requests made 44 – 1 day before a course starts will be charged a 15% transfer fee (15% of their new course price)
  • Participants in multi-module Essential Skills (ES1) courses occasionally request to be transferred from one ES1 to another, for one or more modules. Transferring is highly disruptive to other participants and is rarely possible as a practical matter. In the rare and extreme circumstance that the Institute makes an exception, participants will be charged a $200 transfer fee.

Refund Policy for Institute Sponsored On Demand (recorded) Seminars

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with an Institute sponsored (recorded) On Demand Seminar, please email with an explanation of why you are dissatisfied. We will offer, one time per person, a credit for your payment, less a 15% banking and administrative fee that you may apply to a different (recorded) On Demand seminar.

*Refund Policy for Non-Institute Sponsored Core Training

  • Non-Institute Sponsored Core Trainings
Note that most core training are not Institute sponsored – if you register through a non-Institute sponsor – a system or person other than the Institute – please refer to the sponsor’s refund policy.

Make-up Policy

Institute Sponsored Courses Including Immersion, Essential Skills, Advanced Skill Modules, Seminars/Webinars and Institute Sponsored Core Trainings

The AEDP Institute does not offer make-ups for missed course days. In the rare case where someone joins a course late, or misses a session in the middle of a course, the hour(s) or day(s) that person misses cannot be made up. Why? Group dynamics developed during a course are essential to the course’s success; so someone coming into a course for a short period of time is – regardless of their best intentions – disruptive to other participants and the course’s overall success. The Institute will, however, provide handouts from missed hours or days but will not allow a person to make up the hours or days they miss in another course.

AEDP Level credit: if a participant attends 80% or more of a course, the Institute will apply the course towards AEDP Level advancement.
