OBJECTIVES:
- Participants will be able to identify key change processes in the process of healing attachment trauma and developing the Self.
- Participants will be able to practice how the use of the Therapist Self can work as a powerful tool to set change, healing and development in motion.
- Participants will be able to evaluate the impact of emotional exclusion.
- Participants will be able to analyze the developmental consequences of growing up in an environment lacking deeper care and recognition from caregivers.
- Participants will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the stages of therapeutic work involved in addressing deep-seated emotional wounds and relational deficits, particularly in the context of AEDP therapy.
- Participants will be able to describe the role of the therapist in creating a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment.
- Participants will identify AEDP interventions aimed at facilitating emotional processing, dismantling defenses, and fostering adaptive experiences in clients.
- Participants will be able to recognize the various stages of the therapeutic process, including the “rescuing part” and the “part of becoming,” to support clients in their journey towards self-discovery and emotional integration.
- Participants will be able to develop their capacity for empathic attunement and authentic presence with clients, enhancing their ability to establish and maintain therapeutic rapport.
- Participants will be able to explain the concept of “forming the unformed”.
- Participants will be able to integrate principles of self-compassion and mindfulness into their therapeutic approach.
- Participants will be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained from the training to their clinical practice, demonstrating competence in working with clients who struggle with feelings of disconnection, emotional numbness, and unresolved attachment trauma.
