Hi, I’m Peter Cellarius. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and the ways people can lose contact with themselves.

My work is experiential, relational, and deeply informed by the body. I’m interested not only in what has happened to you, but in what happens inside you in the room: the tightening, the pulling away, the emotion that disappears, or the part of you that wants change but feels stuck.

I believe healing often happens when difficult emotions can be felt in the presence of a caring, attuned other. That AEDP principle—helping people feel less alone with what has been overwhelming—is central to how I work.

My training includes Somatic Experiencing®, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, AEDP, EMDR, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I draw from these flexibly, depending on what is most useful.

At its best, therapy helps us feel more at home in ourselves, more connected to others, and more alive.
