I'm Randy, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York City and New Jersey. I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families navigating trauma, family stress, anxiety, and the weight of experiences carried across generations.
My approach blends two things that are often treated as separate: the exploratory, relational work of understanding how your past shapes your present — including attachment patterns, family dynamics, and the stories you've inherited — and the practical, skill-based tools that help you regulate, cope, and move through daily life. In practice, that means we might spend time exploring what's underneath a pattern while also building concrete skills rooted in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and CBT. The balance shifts depending on what you need.
A core part of my work is honoring who you are and where you come from. I work with people across a wide range of cultural backgrounds and lived experiences — including those navigating biracial or multicultural identity, transracial adoptees reconciling questions of belonging and heritage, and anyone for whom culture, identity, or racial experience is part of what they're carrying. Whatever your background, it belongs in the room.
Whether you're a parent trying to show up better for your kids, a couple finding your way back to each other, or someone carrying something you've never quite had words for — I want to help you find both language and relief.
I offer a free consultation. Reach out — that first step matters.
