Yi Fang is the founding chair of the Taiwan Multicultural Counseling Association and the creator of Asia’s first culturally attuned training and supervision model integrating historical awareness and localized intersectionality. She has years of clinical experience in the San Francisco Bay Area working with immigrant families and international students, specializing in attachment and relational trauma, parentified children, and Third Culture Kids, with particular attention to migration-related trauma, acculturation stress, and systemic barriers in mental health care. She currently provides telehealth psychotherapy to clients across the United States, Europe, and Asia, with a clinical focus on how culture shape emotional healing across geopolitical contexts.
In addition to her clinical work, Yi Fang regularly presents on multicultural counseling and decolonial approaches at major professional conferences and is involved with the American Counseling Association, supporting research initiatives and cross-national collaboration to advance culturally responsive mental health practices. She is currently hosting Global Voice in AEDP at the Institute, supporting practitioners worldwide in strengthening cultural sensitivity and responsive clinical practice.
