Anna Christina Sundgren, MA
Anna Christina Sundgren, MA is a faculty member of AEDP® Institute, a Licensed Psychotherapist, teacher and Supervisor. She teaches AEDP frequently in Sweden and internationally. She has been in private practice in Stockholm, Sweden for more than 25 years, and she also works online. She is a member of the AEDP community since 2013. Anna Christina studied Jungian Psychology, is trained in Short-term Dynamic Therapy and is a Mindfulness Instructor and retreat leader, with a long
experience of meditation and spiritual practice.
Anna Christina has been engaged in human growth for her whole professional life, as a teacher, in her own writing, as a psychotherapist and supervisor. In AEDP she found all she had longed for; ethos of having a healing perspective, importance of transforming emotion, recognition of the True Self, connection of body and brain, the importance of being genuine and present as a therapist, and more. She has developed a particular interest in the ways in which the True Self is unconsciously manifested in the patient across different states, and the transformative potential of a “true other moment” in the therapeutic relationship with the intersubjectively present therapist.
Anna Christina co-developed and supervised a relational Infant Observation method inspired from AEDP to help therapy students develop their sense of non-verbal communication. She is one of the founders of the Swedish AEDP Community, and a member of the AEDP International Committee. She has been teaching a number of IRL Core trainings in Scandinavia specially tailored for Scandinavian AEDP-
therapists together with Annika Medbo.
