I believe that successful therapy starts with a strong, collaborative relationship between therapist and client where you can have new experiences, re-write old stories, and try on new perspectives. I offer a combination of experiential, psychodynamic, and person-centered approaches to therapy that are tailored to each client and their unique needs. I will create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore and understand the various influences that shaped you including your experiences, your culture, your family, and your communities.
With a background in massage, I often incorporate somatic interventions to orient you to what is happening in your body and I offer grounding and mindfulness skills to increase your ability to respond instead of react as well as manage symptoms associated with anxiety and PTSD. I utilize cognitive interventions and parts work to increase your flexibility in thinking and reduce feelings of being stuck. With new tools and a fuller understanding of yourself, I will help you navigate life’s challenges and transitions by fostering your strengths, highlighting your resiliency, and offering support every step of the way.
