For three decades I have had exposure to a plethora of healing modalities emphasizing body-mind attunement, synchrony, and expressivity; beginning with undergraduate training in theater arts and philosophy 1993-1997, obtaining certification in massage therapy in 2000, and a master’s degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology at Naropa University in 2006. Since then, I have continued to deepen and broaden my professional development, including but not limited to specializing in child development, Hakomi mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy, dance movement therapy, yoga therapy, the Diamond Heart Approach, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. My diverse skill sets and professional experiences offer a well-informed and intuitive approach to teaching and clinical work that empower individuals of all ages with the resources necessary to live a life that is more effective, empowered, embodied and meaningful, personally and professionally.
In addition to private practice, dba Body Psychology Today, currently, I am also engaging with pleasure in the roles of core faculty (since 2019) and program chair (since 2021) of the master's program in somatic psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
