Celeste Froehlich, LCSW-R is a psychotherapist, supervisor and life coach offering compassionate, experienced AEDP therapy to individual adults in Ithaca and remotely throughout New York State. She has been in practice for approximately 20 years and received her clinical social work education at the University of Chicago, where she completed her clinical field placement at the Marjorie Kovler Center for the Treatment of Survivors of Torture. She has been an experiential assistant for numerous trainings through the AEDP Institute. She has a focus on antiracist practice and cultural humility, and special interests in how therapist use of self and portrayals can undo aloneness with members of marginalized groups. She also has experience in international social work and disaster relief. Specialties also include trauma, cross-cultural and refugee mental health, mindfulness, creativity, and postpartum depression. She has been training in AEDP for approximately 7 years, and is currently working toward certification; her AEDP Supervisors include Kate Halliday and Jenn Edlin.
