Jennifer Sterling, LMFT, is a psychotherapist in private practice for 24+ years in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. She specializes in working with adults with a history of developmental complex trauma. Before finding AEDP Jennifer had extensive training in relational, attachment-focused and trauma-informed modalities. She is a certified therapist and supervisor of Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (the work of Sue Johnson) and she has done advanced training and supervision in trauma treatment with Janina Fisher. Her practice is multicultural and diverse and she acknowledges the impact of cultural and political factors in our lives. Jennifer feels grateful to have found her clinical home in the worldwide AEDP community where the transformative healing aspects of AEDP— grounded in neuroplasticity, mindfulness, self-compassion and somatic awareness—has deeply enriched her work. Jennifer brings kindness, warmth, caring, authenticity and mindful awareness to her work with clients. Having completed the Immersion and Essential Skills courses, Jennifer participates in ongoing AEDP supervision and is on the path to certification.
