I offer a highly relational type of therapy for individual adolescents and adults which works with the connection between mind and body. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, yet direct and active. I help clients nonjudgmentally observe how they might avoid complicated emotions triggered in present relationships, exploring past wounds in the process. Then, through a safe and attuned therapeutic relationship, we regulate anxiety together and feel what previously might have felt too overwhelming or too scary to feel. By directly accessing the mind-body connection in this way, clients have more self-compassion and feel clearer about what they want in life.
