AEDP Clinical Discussion Listserv – Quick Guidelines
- Align with Purpose | Make Sure It Fits the Listserv
Focus on AEDP clinical work, theory, and practice—share questions, reflections, insights, successes, and challenges. Posts about AEDP courses, seminars, or new certifications (by supervisors) are also welcome. - Only for Messaging the Whole Community
Send personal kudos or subgroup messages privately (back-channel). Messages intended for a few individuals will be rejected. - Communicate Respectfully and Confidentially
Please ensure client confidentiality- no names. Honor diverse perspectives and avoid shaming or judgment. Discussions of race, religion, politics, gender, etc. are acceptable only when clinically relevant and framed in a clinical context. Use “I” statements and add trigger warnings as needed. - Use Clear, Topic-Oriented Subject Lines
This helps others find and follow discussions in real time and in archives.
Open Posting Day (1st of Each Month)
On the first of each month, you’re welcome to post non-clinical AEDP-related content.
- Allowed on Open Posting Day:
- Institute- and non–Institute-sponsored AEDP-related events, groups, or trainings (please explain how they relate to AEDP—not just that they appeal to AEDP therapists)
- Supervision offers (Certified Supervisors & Supervisors-in-Training)
- Personal reflections or stories about how AEDP has impacted you or your clients
- Institute announcements
- Not Allowed—Even on Open Posting Day:
- Referrals (please use referral-network@aedpinstitute.org)
- Institute-related concerns or policy questions (please contact the Institute directly)
- Content unsuitable for group discussion (moderator discretion)

- Non-clinical posts submitted before the 1st will be held and shared on Open Posting Day.
- Clinical posts submitted on the 1st will be held and posted on the 2nd

Check your inbox and spam folder for posts. Moderation and Practices
- Moderated 1–2 times daily on weekdays (9 am–5 pm Eastern).
- Posts that don’t meet guidelines in the Institute’s sole discretion will be rejected and a notice will be sent .Posts that follow guidelines will be accepted silently (no confirmation sent).
- Members may be removed for repeated violations or harassment.
- The Institute may remove posts from history.
- Guidelines are updated periodically; members will be notified.
We aim to foster a vibrant, inclusive space that reflects AEDP’s spirit of undoing aloneness and growing together in our clinical work.

How to Post a Referral:
Start with GEOGRAPHY in the subject line (to keep posts scannable).
Examples:

- Montreal, CANADA | Male, BIPOC, preferably Black, French
Include your signature with location at the end:

Transformance Talks

A member favorite! Transformance Talks, are live, interactive webinars presented by and for AEDP Institute members. The Talks are generally about articles that have been published in Transformance: The AEDP Journal and are given by the author of the article, often in interview format.
Transformance Talks are recorded and made available to view “on demand” within 1 week of the live presentation.

Reading Together (NEW)

From Theory to Transformation: Offered monthly and facilitated by Carrie Ruggieri, each session invites a deep, shared reading of AEDP session transcripts. Explore therapist–patient dialogue by AEDP experts. Through this deliberate and immersive experience, you’ll feel the impact of the work in yourself—and sense what it’s like to be the client, hearing those words.

Clinician’s Corner (NEW)

60 Minutes of Crafting Connection and Clinical Insight. Each topic-focused circle, facilitated by AEDP Certified Therapists and Supervisors, explores a clinical theme through a brief video or short didactic, followed by Q&A and rich dialogue. Sessions are held on Zoom, recorded, and added to our member library for ongoing access.
The first presentation will be September 19th at 7pm EST. More details coming shortly. In the meantime, mark your calendars!
