Guidelines for Posting!!
Purpose of the clinical discussion Listserv
The purpose of the AEDP Clinical Discussion Listserv is to support and promote discussion, communication and learning about the theory and practice of the AEDP model of psychotherapy among Members of the AEDP Institute. You can participate by posting or reading about case studies, or clinical or theoretical insights, and challenging client situations and more.
Align with purpose, relevance, and suitability:
Examples:
- Focus on AEDP clinical work, theory, and practice—questions, reflections, insights, successes, and challenges. Posts about AEDP courses, seminars, or announcements of newly Certified Therapists/Supervisors (by their supervisors) are always welcome.
- Content should interest the broader AEDP community; send kudos or subgroup messages backchannel
- Ensure content is appropriate for a large-group online format; moderators decide suitability.
Communicate respectfully:
- Avoid shaming or judgmental language; honor members’ diverse experiences and cultures.
- Topics like race, religion, politics, or gender are welcome if clinically relevant, framed in “I” language, and include trigger warnings when needed.
Use clear subject lines:
- Make subject lines specific to your post to help others engage. If you add anything personal in subject line or body of post it may be rejected because there is no way for moderators to edit any posts.
Topics to avoid when posting:
- Referrals (email referral-network@aedpinstitute.org)
- Questions about AEDP Institute policies (contact the Institute directly- email Admin@aedpinstitute.org)
Posting & moderation practices
- How to Post: Email clinical-discussion@aedpinstitute.org. Start a new thread or reply, ensuring content respects client confidentiality.
Moderation: Weekdays, 9am–5pm Eastern Posts not meeting guidelines, per moderators’ discretion, will be rejected. Violations or harassment may result in removal.
Let’s keep the Listserv vibrant, inclusive, and respectful! 🌟
