Emily Bilbao, LCSW

’m an AEDP therapist and supervisor who believes that transformative supervision happens through relationship, not just technique. My style is warm, experiential, collaborative, and deeply attuned to both the clinician and the work unfolding in the room. I help supervisees slow down, track moment-to-moment process, and develop greater confidence in using themselves therapeutically with authenticity, precision, and heart.

In supervision I strive to create a space where supervisees feel safe enough to take risks, grow their intuition, and access their own emotional wisdom and creativity as clinicians.

I specialize in working with therapists whose own identities — or the identities of their clients — exist outside of mainstream relational frameworks, including queer, non-binary, polyamorous, and other nontraditional identities and relationship structures. I aim to offer a supervision space that is affirming, nuanced, and responsive to the complexity of marginalized and expansive ways of being.

I also work extensively at the intersection of AEDP and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, including legal therapeutic work with ketamine and psilocybin in Oregon. I enjoy supporting clinicians in thinking carefully and creatively about altered states work through an attachment-based, experiential, and ethically grounded lens.

I welcome supervisees who are longing for supervision that feels alive, relational, emotionally engaged, and deeply supportive of both professional and personal growth.

I work with Individuals, couples & polycules and am Licensed in New York, Oregon & Washington. I am open to Supervising folx in their AEDP journey no matter who their clients are and what state or country they are in.
