Engaging Healing and Transformance Right From the Get Go in AEDP Therapy

This workshop is designed to enhance clinicians’ skills in attuning to and engaging with your patients from the very first moments of the initial session. Emphasis will be on the power of slowed down work, targeted moment-to-moment tracking, psycho-education, and  cognitive restructuring in reconnecting patients to their Core Self.  Participants will be introduced to a myriad of innovative , experiential clinical techniques that accelerate the healing process from the outset of treatment.

What You’ll Learn:

• How to read the words, actions, and body language of the patient via moment-to-moment tracking
• Where and when to provide psycho-education and cognitive restructuring in reconnecting the patient to his or her core authentic Self
• Specific clinical techniques on how to regulate anxiety and work with defenses
• The importance of the therapist’s affective engagement in undoing aloneness in the face of attachment trauma
