I have worked extensively with adult survivors of childhood physical/sexual abuse, and/or other family abuse. Trauma recovery work has been the center of my work. I appreciated the process to help individual clients or couples recover from their trauma (childhood trauma, interpersonal relationship trauma, infidelity trauma, etc.), and to grow and transform from the trauma.
I am also a certified EMDR therapist. Being a trained couple's therapist allows me to work well with individuals' trauma healing in couple relationships. As a Chinese immigrant, I have the advantage to understand the nuances of the emotions and the impact of the family culture on individuals.
