We all have the potential to lead a fulfilling life. Difficult challenges may keep us from reaching that potential though, and we can find ourselves stuck in repetitive cycles of suffering. I offer individual psychotherapy, couples counseling, and neurofeedback with a focus on the alleviation of symptoms through inner transformation. With close attention to the unresolved emotional pain and nervous system dysregulation that drive symptoms, I help clients find resilience within the difficulties they face. I draw from time-tested and evidence-based approaches suited to each client's unique needs.
I have particular expertise in adult and adolescent psychotherapy for anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, LGBTQ issues, loss, overwhelming emotions, and relationship problems. I provide neurofeedback to children, adolescents, and adults for PTSD, OCD, AD/HD, brain injury, addiction, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, autism spectrum, chronic pain and other psychosomatic issues.
I believe that, when carefully attended to, dark, painful experiences become doorways through which deeper relationship with oneself is possible. I support clients to cultivate self-acceptance while challenging themselves to move toward the changes they seek. Underpinning my work is an enduring belief in the psyche's restorative capacity.
