Michael Mondoro, LCSW is a licensed therapist in New York City, New York State and Connecticut. He is a Certified AEDP Therapist, a Certified AEDP Supervisor, a trauma and dissociation specialist, an Intra-Relational AEDP and Parts Work and an active member of the AEDP community since 2012. Michael's approach to individual therapy is to help you create new experiences in the present that are helpful, healing and encourage lasting, meaningful change that feels right for you. He specializes in helping individuals who have experienced relational trauma, PTSD and complex PTSD to securely connect, heal, transform, and flourish. Michael brings warmth, authenticity, humor, and deep care to those he offers therapy and mentorship to and is committed to serving the LGBTQIA+ community, as well. He feels privileged to be a part of the AEDP community and to mentor others to discover and deepen their therapeutic presence, courage, confidence and agency as they express their own AEDP style. Michael offers psychotherapy as well as clinical consultation in New York and Connecticut, and online for those interested in expanding their knowledge and effectiveness utilizing AEDP across the post-traumatic spectrum.

Michael is trained in complementary models of thought and therapy that inform and enrich the somatic, mindful, and experiential nature of his AEDP practice: Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Soto Zen Buddhism, Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
