Description

I am an experienced clinician with an MS in Counseling Psychology, and in addition to clinical work have had over 30 years of work experience in non-profits and social services doing everything from program development (including service learning and mission trips) to upper-level management (including being an ED of an HIV/AIDS housing program). For the past 4 years I have focused exclusively on my private practice work.
In my office, I seek to help clients feel a sense of safety and security where they know they are honored for their strengths as well as their struggles as we work together to calm anxiety and open up a space for healing, growth and transformative experiences. AEDP training (over 4 years) has been an asset in helping clients to be able to develop their own innate resources for healing and growth as we work through issues ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship challenges to career/avocation and life-satisfaction issues.

I work out of my home within a mile of downtown DC, easily Metro-accessible. I also have a deep commitment to social and economic justice and work with clients (and their insurance coverage if applicable) to keep fees affordable
