Description:

In this 2.5-hour workshop, psychoanalyst and certified AEDP psychotherapist, Hilary Jacobs Hendel, will teach participants how to work with anger as a core emotion and a defense. Learning Objectives:

  • Understand a constructive path to working with anger using the “Triangle” as a guide.
  • Identify core and inhibitory emotions and the defenses that block them which sets the stage for change and transformation.
  • Apply techniques to process anger to ameliorate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
  • Apply techniques to build confidence that therapists can invite client’s anger into the sessions.
