The dyadic repair of attachment trauma: healing at the edge of transformational experience.
Course Description
Immersion Includes Theoretical Framework, Clinical Teaching from Videotapes, Experiential Exercises. The Immersion course offers an in-depth exploration of AEDP psychotherapy’s transformative theory and practice. Participants will engage in observing, tracking, discussing, AEDP psychotherapy’s core techniques. The course will utilize case examples, showcasing therapeutic interventions through video recordings of the presenter’s own AEDP sessions with clients, including selected videos from APA’s Clinical Videos series. On the fourth day, after participants have received comprehensive didactic instruction, a half-day session will be dedicated to small-group experiential exercises, ensuring a rich integration of AEDP theory and clinical application — bringing AEDP theory and clinical practice to life.
Who Should Attend
North America: Licensed mental health practitioners as well as therapists practicing under the license of a supervising professional.
Beyond North America: Mental health professionals who hold licensure equivalent to North American standards including ongoing affiliation with an organization responsible for issuing and overseeing mental health credentials in their country or region.
Please be aware that coaching licenses and other non-psychotherapy specific licenses are not accepted.

Level: No prior AEDP instruction is required. Upon completion you will be considered AEDP Level 1.

Gerald Brooks, LCSW
Gerald Brooks is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with licensure in Florida, Tennessee, Nevada, Virginia, and Michigan. Gerald began his career in the mental health field at 20, working with adults with persistent mental health concerns as a direct care staff member. After completing his master’s degree in social work, he became the Clinical Director at the same mental health facility. Gerald also holds master’s degrees in counseling psychology, spirituality, culture, and health, and sport management. He is finishing a master’s degree in religion and pursuing a doctorate in sports and performance psychology. His credentials include a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Department of Transportation Certified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), and a certificate in sports social work.

Nicky Cameron, LCSW
Nicky Cameron, LCSW, is a native of Jamaica. Driven by her unyielding determination to reduce suicide rates, normalize mental health hygiene, and mental health illness among youth, she founded Ideal Case Management Services, and Emergent Counseling & Consulting. Nicky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has accumulated over two decade’s worth of experience serving in various capacities within the field of Behavioral Health.
Nicky is a Youth Mentor, and has been recognized in her community for mobilizing large youth groups to perform community service projects. She is a Behavioral Health Case Management Supervisor, a Motivational Speaker, and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor and Mentors other mental health clinicians.
Nicky embraces a spiritual path to healing, and believes in the body’s organic intelligence. She is trained in integrative body-based therapies such as: AEDP™, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Brain-spotting, EMDR, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping).
Ben Medley, LCSW
Ben is an AEDP senior faculty member and has taught AEDP internationally with the AEDP Institute, the National Institute of Psychotherapy, the Cape Cod Institute, NASW and in mental health organizations and clinical practices. He has a private practice in New York City and specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ community.
Ben earned his degree in Clinical Social Work with the NYU Silver School of Social Work. Before private practice, Ben worked in Greenwich House’s HIV mental health program and the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services’ LGBTQ+ mental health treatment unit. His paper “Recovering the True Self: Affirmative Therapy, Attachment and AEDP in Psychotherapy with Gay Men” is published with the SEPI Journal: the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration and he has written a chapter on using (Read More…)

Requires $500 deposit due at registration. Four monthly payments of $299.75 USD will automatically begin the following month.
