Course Description
Psychedelic-assisted therapies have introduced the field to extended, inward-focused sessions that produce profound shifts in somatic and affective experience. “Dry Psychedelics™” names an AEDP-based format that reproduces this depth, magnitude, and imaginal richness without a substance.
This seminar uses footage from a two-hour clinical session, condensed to highlight key movements of the work, offering a rare, close-up view of moment-to-moment technique. It demonstrates parts work, intra-relational portrayals, defense work, moment-to-moment tracking, and a powerful transformation of pathogenic affect.
This eyes-closed, inward format engages a state of dissociative withdrawal, held first in the body, and transforms it through active, attuned tracking and witnessing: by the therapist throughout, and eventually by the client herself, who comes to witness, and ultimately reparent, her own experience from within it. What surfaces beneath the withdrawal — old grief, the deep pain of abandonment, and a core sense of unworthiness — is not only witnessed but directly addressed, as the client accesses an adult, resourced part of herself capable of offering the very love and protection that had been missing. What she has held alone inside that state begins, for the first time, to be met.
“Dry Psychedelics™” enacts AEDP’s core work of undoing aloneness from within the state itself, transforming numbness into feeling, shame into self-compassion, and unmet need into a felt, embodied experience of being loved.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Identify somatic markers of dissociative withdrawal and apply interoceptive tracking techniques in session
- Describe the AEDP-based mechanism by which sustained, dyadic attunement, rather than titration, supports safe entry into extended, inward-focused states
- Understand the Intra-Relational AEDP Prism and how to utilize it in parts work
- Recognize clinical indicators (client’s inner resources and alliance strength) for appropriate use of this approach
- Apply witnessing and reparenting interventions to transform core shame and unprocessed grief
- Differentiate this approach from standard window-of-tolerance-based trauma models

Course Content Level: Beginning
To receive credit, participants must pay the CE fee, attend the entire training, and complete the evaluation form. Partial credit is not available. CE certificates are issued after the evaluation is submitted.

Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: October 31, 2025 – October 31, 2026. AEDP offers group discounts to practices, agencies, organizations, and institutions that register and pay for multiple clinicians together. Group discounts are not available for self-organized groups of individual registrants.
Discount Levels
- 3–5 registrants: 10% discount
- 6–10 registrants: 15% discount
- 11 or more registrants: 20% discount
How to Apply

Once approved, you will receive a registration code for your group.
Payment Options
Groups may pay in full or choose a payment plan consisting of a deposit followed by four installments.
Cancellation Policy
Group discounts are contingent upon maintaining the minimum number of registrants required for the applicable discount tier. If cancellations reduce enrollment below the required threshold, the discount will no longer apply. Remaining registrants will be responsible for the difference between the discounted and standard registration fee, plus a 10% administrative fee per registrant.
Meet The Presenter:Jason Trowbridge, MFT, Certified AEDP Therapist:
Jason Trowbridge, MA, MFT is an AEDP Certified Therapist with over 30 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma and dissociation. He is M.A.P.S. certified in psychedelic medicinal therapy and Polaris trained in Ketamine therapy. He served on a task force created to develop an AEDP therapeutic protocol for treating trauma with psychedelic medicine in partnership with M.A.P.S. He has presented at conferences on trauma, dissociation, and psychedelic-informed therapy, and has taught AEDP workshops in these areas.
Jason’s clinical work is grounded in attachment theory, beginning with his study of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples in 2007, and he is a certified EFT therapist and supervisor. His current, primary focus is AEDP, where he specializes in Intra-Relational work with parts-of-self and dissociative phenomena. Jason has contributed to the AEDP Research Study, acts as a supervisor in training, assists at AEDP training events, and increasingly explores the intersection of AEDP with spiritual practice.

Important Note: Coaching licenses and other non-psychotherapy-specific licenses do not meet the eligibility requirements.

Attendance and Make up Policy
Institute Sponsored Courses Including Immersion, Essential Skills, Advanced Skill Modules, Seminars/Webinars and Institute Sponsored Core Trainings
The AEDP Institute does not offer make-ups for missed course days. In the rare case where someone joins a course late, or misses a session in the middle of a course, the hour(s) or day(s) that person misses cannot be made up. Why? Group dynamics developed during a course are essential to the course’s success; so someone coming into a course for a short period of time is – regardless of their best intentions – disruptive to other participants and the course’s overall success. The Institute will, however, provide handouts from missed hours or days but will not allow a person to make up the hours or days they miss in another course.
AEDP Level credit: if a participant attends 80% or more of a course, the Institute will apply the course towards AEDP Level advancement
Refunds and Cancellations
Program Cancellation/Changes
The AEDP Institute reserves the right to cancel a training/ program prior to its start, in which case full refunds will be issued to participants for any tuition fees paid for the program. The AEDP Institute is not responsible for participant expenses including travel, childcare, missed practice sessions, etc.
In the rare situation that the AEDP Institute makes changes to advertised presenter(s), tuition fees will not be refunded.
By adhering to these policies, we aim to ensure a fair and consistent approach to cancellations, refunds, and transfer requests.
Canceling 16 or More Days Before a Course or Seminar:
- Refund: 85% of your course fee.
Canceling 1-15 Days Before a Course or Seminar:
- No Refund
- An Institute credit of 85% of your course fee will be provided for use towards a future course.
Canceling / Withdrawing / No Show on the 1st Day or During a Course or Seminar:
- No refund
- No credit
Transfer Requests Made 45+ Days Before Course Start:
- Requests will be accommodated wherever possible without financial penalty.
Transfer Requests Made 44-1 Days Before Course Start:
- $200 Transfer fee Applied to new course
Participants in Multi-Module Essential Skills (ES1) Courses:
- Requests to transfer from one ES1 course series to another are highly disruptive and rarely possible.
- Exception: In rare and extreme circumstances where an exception is made, a $200 transfer fee will be charged
Refund Policy for Institute Sponsored On Demand (recorded) Seminars
If for any reason you are unsatisfied with an Institute sponsored (recorded) On Demand Seminar, please email admin@aedpinstitute.org with an explanation of why you are dissatisfied. We will offer, one time per person, a credit for your payment, less a 15% banking and administrative fee that you may apply to a different (recorded) On Demand seminar.

We will never sell your information to anyone.

Under confidentiality agreements, the AEDP Institute may share this aggregated data—not your personal information—with advertisers or business partners. Also, the AEDP Institute may disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our services to prospective partners, advertisers, and other third parties, and for other lawful purposes.
With whom will we share this information? We will share your email with companies that assist in fulfilling our Listserve. We allow access to our database by third parties that provide us with services, such as technical maintenance, but only for the purpose of and to the extent necessary to provide you with those services. Any third party that has access to our database for this purpose is bound by the terms set forth in this policy.
If you opt in on the email form, we may share your personal information that we collect online with our current or future affiliated companies and with select third parties that may email you information or special offerings about products or services that we believe may interest you.
